PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drum-type washing machine which enables simple connections to the control unit from external devices as well as an easy inspection of the circuit board, and contributes to the downsizing of the entire control unit. SOLUTION: A case 10 houses a printed wiring circuit board 11, which forms a control unit 9. Furthermore, it is provided with a cover 14 protruding from the top of the front board 10b to the right side. On the printed wiring circuit board 11, electronic parts including a diode bridge of direct current circuit to convert AC input power into DC, a chalk coil, an inverter circuit to drive a motor, as a triac to switch on or off loaded devices, and the like are contained. The printed wiring circuit board 11 is connected to connectors 19 to 25 via lead wires 26. These connectors 19 to 25 are mounted on the front board 10b of the case 10, which faces an inspection window.
