PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sulfur oxides removing agent having high removing performance to the sulfur oxides in the waste gas. SOLUTION: The desulfurization agent containing alkaline earth metal oxide and iridium is used for removing the sulfur oxides in the waste gas.
