The casing (2) is for plate-shaped objects, such as paper-backs, newspapers, compact disks and digital versatile disks and is formed by folding together a sheet-shaped elastic material (4) comprising first and second outer sides (8,10) and at least one bottom bending line (12) between the outer sides, forming the bottom of the casing. Also incorporated are first and second short side parts formed on the sides of the first outer side. Between the first side and the short side parts are side bending lines (6). The short side parts have at least two part areas (18,22,24) separated by side bending lines between them. The casing has at least two upwardly open storage spaces (26,28) for holding plate-shaped objects. Components (30,32) are available for closure of the storage spaces. |
