TWO-STAGE HINGE MECHANISM IN SEAT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a structure and to improve operability by making operating members into one in a two-stage hinge mechanism in a seat. SOLUTION: A seat back 20 connected with a lower part of a seat back body 21 so as to be rocked through the first hinge mechanism A is connected with the back part of a seat cushion 10 so as to be rocked through the second hinge mechanism B on the bottom part of a bottom part arm and the first rocking mechanism C for restricting rocking caused by the first hinge mechanism and the second rocking mechanism D for restricting rocking caused by the second hinge mechanism are provided. Restriction of the rocking by each of the hinge mechanisms is simultaneously released by a releasing mechanism with an operating member 51. Both rocking mechanism are provided with a rock release keeping mechanism on either one of them and the releasing mechanism is preferably provided with a connecting member 50 for connecting each of operating parts of both rocking mechanisms. In addition, it is preferable that the second rocking mechanism is engaged with a striker 65 fixed on an automotive body member being different from the seat.
