PURPOSE: An E-1 digital repeater selection test apparatus of an access gateway system is provided to select a specific repeater among plural repeaters installed on an E-1 digital transmission line and test faults and breakdown states of a corresponding repeater. CONSTITUTION: An access gateway(10) and a digital exchange(30) consist of test tone generating apparatuses(12,32) for generating a test tone of a low frequency voice band and E-1 junction circuits(11,31) inserted for reducing power loss between two circuits. An E-1 digital transmission line connects the access gateway(10) and the digital exchange(30). On the E-1 digital transmission line, a plurality of repeaters(20a,20b,20c) for performing a loop-back function are provided, voice band filters(21,22,23) are embedded for passing only a specific frequency to the repeaters(20a,20b,20c).
