GRAPHITE HAVING ROUNDED MORPHOLOGY AND COATED WITH AMORPHOUS CARBON, AND METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are graphite having a rounded morphology and coated with amorphous carbon, and method for fabricating the same, wherein the graphite satisfies an equation 0.92<=a/b<=1, a denotes a short diameter and b denotes a long diameter. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dispersing graphite grains in a liquid solution acquired by dissolving carbon precursor into an organic solvent; coating the carbon precursor onto the surface of the graphite grain by removing the solvent; mixing inorganic material having hydrophobicity with the graphite grain coated with carbon precursor and acquired at the second step; carbonizing the graphite grain by heating the mixture acquired at the third step in inert gas ambient at a temperature of 700-1500°C for 1-50 hours; and removing the inorganic material with hydrophobicity by applying an acid or an alkali to the carbonized graphite grain.
