PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system which can easily select the best printing means for printing even when a client selects an arbitrary printing means out of a plurality of printing means connected through a network. SOLUTION: In this print system, a client device 101 and a plurality of printers 103 and 104 are connected through the network 100. When a print information request means 109 of the client device 101 requests print information from the printer 103, a print information notice means 111 of the printer 103 sends the print information to a print information acquiring means 112 of the client device 101. Here, if the printer 103 having received the request for the print information is disabled with a printing job or can not print data because of printing job waiting or toner shortage although the print data are already received, a substitution information request means 113 requests information on substitutive printing to another printer 104. |
