PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide composition for a getter which can improve the degree of vacuum and gas removal capability by an activation step being performed with the getter capable of reduction of the activation temperature, and a field emission device using the composition for the getter. SOLUTION: The getter includes chromium (Cr) as the main structural element and titanium and zirconium as other structural elements.
