PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lossless relocation capable of detecting a state needing resynchronization between a mobile unit and a serving radio network subsystem (SRNS). SOLUTION: One of a plurality of wiress network subsystems (RNSs) 70 that are in communication with a core network (CN) is an SRNS 70s and another RNS is a target TRAN 70t. The SRNS is in wireless communications with a mobile unit to provide service data units (SDUs) 78 from the CN to the mobile unit 80. The SRSN 70s associates a sequence number (SN) 78r with each of the SDUs 78, and the mobile unit 80 is capable confirming the SRNS SDUs 78 received from the SRNS 70s. Forwarding information is provided by SRNS 70s to the TRNS 70t. The forwarding information includes SDUs unconfirmed SDU 78 as received by the mobile unit 80, a first SN the SN 78r of unconfirmed SDU 78 with a fastest sequence number, and SN78r with a latest sequence number sent by the SRNS 78 to the mobile unit 80.
