PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for removing image constituents where an image-reading apparatus reads dust adhering to a photograph film in the control method of an image-reading system, comprising the image-reading apparatus having a mechanism for reading the photograph film and a host apparatus for receiving the supply of image data from the image-reading apparatus. SOLUTION: The image data that are supplied from the image-reading apparatus are accurately binarized for making sharp a dust image and specifying the pixel position, and the dust image is corrected in pixel units. Additionally, a control procedure for making sharp the dust image for specifying the pixel position, and a control procedure for correcting the dust image in pixel units are stored as one portion of the control program of the image-reading system. |
