PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom and a system thereof, capable of suitably determining whether or not to let visitor in. SOLUTION: An intercom 1 with a fingerprint identification function is provided with a call button 1a operated by a visitor, a fingerprint read device for reading the fingerprint from a contacting finger, a fingerprint data recording section 1i storing data for determining whether or not to let the visitor in, and a signal processing section 1j. The fingerprint read device is embedded in the button 1a at a contacting portion thereof to integrate them. When the visitor operates the button 1a, the section 1j reads the fingerprint of the visitor and compares it with the data stored in the section 1i, to determine whether or not to let the visitor in.
