PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device in which a normal use is possible for workplaces where persons in normal health take an leading part, and it is possible to set low an installation location of the image reader for workplaces where an operator utilizes a wheelchair, and operability in the image reader in a state of utilizing the wheelchair is extremely good. SOLUTION: This image forming device 1 comprises an image reading means 3 for reading an image from a source document, and an image forming means 2 for forming the image on a sheet. This image forming device 1 further comprises a displacement means A for displacing so as to move freely, between a first location where the image reading means is located in an upper part of the image forming means and a second location which is disposed on a front plane or a side plane of the image forming means. At least the image reading means 3 is maintained substantially horizontally so as to enable an image reading operation at the first location and the second location. |
