PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a menu by a simple operation. SOLUTION: A pad 111 receives an operation input for selecting any of menus 1 to 8 regardless of the current position of a cursor according to an operating direction (only an operating direction independent of an operation start point or an operation end point) by the finger of a user in a menu GUI mode. That is, the operation input shown in a figure (B) indicates the selection of a menu 7. When any of those menus 1-8 is provided with a sub-menu, the sub-menu is selected according to the operating direction at the next operation input.
