MANUFACTURING METHOD OF GLASS PANEL FOR USE IN DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plasma display device with high degree of reliability by making a glass panel for display not being cracked easily by preventing its heat shrinking on adhesive sealing. SOLUTION: In this manufacturing method of a plasma display panel, when a front glass plate 1 and a rear glass plate 2 are bonding-sealed in the periphery of their facing surfaces with sealing material 3, a display glass panel of a double structure is made up by setting a heat temperature in adhesive sealing at a temperature not more than 130 deg. C below the temperature at the strain- temperature of the front glass plate 1 and the gear glass plate 2, and a glass cracking preventive layer 6 with 2.2 to 5 mm in thickness and with 40% or more in a visible ray transmittance is fixed directly on the outer surface of the front panel of a glass panel for displays.
