PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that has high thermal efficiency and prevents the temperature distribution of a fixing roller from becoming uneven. SOLUTION: In a fixing device, provided with a fixing roller 1 revolving and driving and a pressure roller 15 revolving and abutting on the fixing roller 1 with fixed pressure and letting transfer material, whereon a toner image is transcribed through between these rollers and heating and dissolving the toner image and fixing it on the transfer material, the thickness at the center of the fixing roller 1, that has a largest width W for letting paper through, is made thicker than that at both its edges.
