CELL AND ITS MAKING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality cell made in a simple manufacturing process, whereas the cell has a multilayer electrode ensuring a large electrode area, and to provide a making method of the cell. SOLUTION: The making method of the cell comprises the steps of: forming a first sheet which has a mixture layer containing a negative electrode active material on either side of a first current collector; forming a second sheet which has a plurality of mixture layer areas containing a positive electrode active material alternately with areas uncoated with the mixture layer on the chief side of a second current collector; covering the mixture-uncoated area and both the end areas of the mixture-coated areas adjacent to the mixture-uncoated area on the chief side of the second sheet, with an insulation film; placing an electrolyte film on the chief side of the second sheet or on the either side of the first sheet; forming and element where both the mixture layers on both the sides of the first sheet are placed between one mixture layer area and the neighboring mixture layer area on the chief side of the second sheet by folding the second sheet inwardly on the mixture-uncoated area and interposing the electrolyte film between one mixture layer of the first sheet and one mixture layer area of the second sheet; and covering the elements with a facing film.
