PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray component feeder in which a shaped component can be carried easily without being scratched from a tray to the component suction point of a component mounter. SOLUTION: A shaped electronic component 32 is transferred from a tray 30 on a pallet drawn out to the component feeding stage of a tray component feeder to a carrying base 31 (31a) waiting while opening two, double swing, planar members 33 vertically upward at the transfer opening at the starting point of a carrying passage by means of a transfer mechanism (not shown). Opening mechanism to the planar members 33 releases the opening operation to close the planar members 33 substantially horizontally and then the planar members 33 is energized by an energizing member 36 to press an electronic component 32. The carrying base 31 (31b) brought into fixed state then carries the electronic component 32 up to a feeding opening at the end point of the carrying passage. At the feeding opening, the planar members 33 are opened vertically upward again to release the electronic component 32 which is then picked up by means of the working head of a component mounter and mounted on a substrate. |
