PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the analyzing method and device capable of accurately performing the quantitative determination and analysis of a heavy metal organic compound in the soil. SOLUTION: This device for analyzing the heavy metal harmful substance in the soil, comprising a laser oscillator 12 for applying the laser beam 101 to a sample 1 on a rotary table 11, a dichroic mirror 13, a detector 18 for measuring the intensity of the light 102 emitted from the sample 1 accompanied with the irradiation of the laser beam 101, through a focusing lens 14, a lighting lens 15, an optical fiber and a spectroscope 17, and an operator 19 for determining the quantity of the heavy metal harmful substance in the sample 1 on the basis of the intensity of the emission of light, further comprises a heating lamp 20 for drying at least the irradiation surface by the laser beam 101, of the sample 1.
