The invention relates to a device for deviating plate link chains, in particular in the deviation zone of a passenger transport installation, such as an escalator or a moving walkway. The individual plate links of the plate link chain are interconnected by means of bolts and bushes (6) which surround said bolts. A rotatable deviation organ (1) in the form of an optionally driven ring or disc-type body for each plate link chain is located in the respective deviation zones. The external circumference of said body, viewed from the direction of said circumference, is provided with several interchangeable receiving elements (4), positioned at a predeterminable distance from one another, for guiding the bushes (6) of the plate link chain.
