PURPOSE: To provide a rechargeable vacuum cleaner capable of enhancing operability and usability. CONSTITUTION: This rechargeable vacuum cleaner is equipped with: a vacuum cleaner body 1 which incorporates a rotating brush 8, an electric motor 26 for driving the rotating brush 8, and a storage battery 23 for supplying power to the electric motor 26; a connecting pipe 6 which is rotatably arranged in the cleaner body 1; and a charging stand for recharging the storage battery 23. The storage battery 23 and the electric motor 26 are arranged on both sides of the connecting pipe 6; and centroids of a storage battery 12 and the electric motor 26 are arranged on a rotation axis of the connecting pipe 6 or in the rear of the connecting pipe 6.
