PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus, an imaging system, a method for authenticating a user, and a storage medium in which a user can be authenticated in a shorter time as compared with prior art without forcing any work to the user by performing user authentication through radio communication between the imaging apparatus and a portable terminal, e.g. a portable telephone. SOLUTION: The CPU 206 of a copy machine transmits a user name and an ID acquired through radio communication with a portable terminal, e.g. a portable telephone, to a data supply source 500, requests transmission of image data being used for forming an output image, acquires the list of image information belonging to the same owner from the data supply source 500 and displays it on an operating panel 190, so that a user designates a desired image information being printed by a printer engine 204. |
