PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing hydrogen from which hydrogen having extremely low residual concentration of carbon monoxide and suited for a cell fuel can be taken out. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for producing hydrogen separates hydrogen from crude gas containing at least a hydrocarbon and carbon monoxide in addition to hydrogen through cryogenic separation method. The apparatus is provided with a raw material compressor 51 for compressing a raw material, a main heat exchanger 2 for cooling the compressed raw material gas, a hydrocarbon separator 5 for liquefying and separating hydrocarbon from the cooled raw material gas, and a carbon monoxide separating tower 6 for liquefying and separating carbon monoxide from the separated gas with the hydrocarbon separator 5. The carbon monoxide separating tower 6 is provided with a fluid supply means for supplying nitrogen fluid having a boiling point higher than that of hydrogen and lower than that of carbon monoxide, into the interior of the top thereof. |
