PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of spreading a plenty of minus ions in an entire room and thereby capable of equalizing a minus ion distribution in the room, and also to provide a method for controlling the same. SOLUTION: A right and left directional louver 8 for changing the direction of blown air to the right and left is provided at an outlet 9 and a minus ion generator 17 is provided at a position on the downstream side from the louver 8 at the outlet 9. In addition, a louver driving mechanism for swinging the louver 8 in the right and left direction is provided, and the louver driving mechanism is actuated when the minus ions are generated from the generator 17. |
