Arrangement for management of multimedia content comprises a data processing unit with a processor (9), storage (3) and network interface (11) contained within a shielded housing (1). Also contained within the housing is an audio-visual assembly (13) that works with digital or analogue signals. The housing wall (2) has connections (16) for the audiovisual assembly, for the network interface and to allow connection to at least a part of the memory. An Independent claim is made for a method for management of multimedia content that allows storage of the content within a database, with a reference to the storage location held in the multimedia management unit.
