摘要 PURPOSE: An engine idle control method is provided to achieve improved operational ability by preventing engine RPM undershoot. CONSTITUTION: An engine idle control method comprises a first step(S310) of detecting whether the engine is in operation; a second step(S312) of detecting whether the air conditioner is in operation, if it is detected in the first step that the engine is in operation; a third step(S314) of shifting from the base idle air amount map to the air conditioner air amount map, if it is detected in the second step that the air conditioner is in operation; a fourth step(S316) of correcting air amount in accordance with the increase of the initial air conditioner load; a fifth step(S318) of judging whether a predetermined time period has lapsed; a sixth step(S320) of reducing air amount corresponding to the increase of the initial air conditioner load, it is it judged in the fifth step that a predetermined time period has lapsed; a seventh step(S322) of judging whether air amount corresponding to the increase of the initial air conditioner load is removed; and an eighth step(S324) of controlling engine RPM in accordance with the air conditioner air amount map, if it is judged in the seventh step that the air amount is removed.
