PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus for making color recording excellent in discharge reliability and image quality. SOLUTION: A cleaning tool, on which an adhesive layer is formed, is brought into contact with an unrecorded body to be recorded; and dust and the like are transferred to the adhesive layer, or the adhesive layer is transferred to the body to be recorded, concurrently with the transfer of the dust and the like to the adhesive layer.
