RUBBER COMPOSITION FOR TIRE TREAD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber composition for a tire tread whose on-ice performances are improved by efficiently expanding thermal expansive microcapsules incorporated in the rubber composition. SOLUTION: The composition incorporates, to 100 pts.wt. of a vulcanizable rubber, 1-20 pts.wt. of the thermal expansive microcapsules, 0.2-1.5 pts.wt. of a vulcanizing accelerator, tetrakis (2-ethylhexyl)thiuram disulfide (TOT-N), and a sulfenamide vulcanizing accelerator in such an amount to make 0.1-1 (by weight) as for the ratio of TOT-N/the sulfenamide vulcanizing accelerator.
