PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic joint that is manufactured easily and that can stably ensure the sufficiently hard torsional rigidity and the sufficiently flexible shaft rigidity. SOLUTION: An elastic joint includes a reinforcing member 12 and a body rubber elastic plate 10. The reinforcing member 12 is formed using spring steel single wires whose cross section is ellipse. The reinforcing member 12 is laid under the body rubber elastic plate 10 in the state where the minor axis of the ellipse is parallel to the rotation center axis P of the body rubber elastic plate 10 and the major axis of the ellipse is perpendicular to the rotation center axis P.
