PURPOSE: A compensation apparatus of a communication line is provided to construct a passive equalizer with an optimized value of a passive device to an analog end device of a digital subscriber line system. CONSTITUTION: A first amplifying unit(31) consists of a first amplifier(A1), a first resistor(R1), a second resistor(R2) and a first condenser(C1). A second amplifying unit(32) consists of a second amplifier(A2), a third resistor(R3), a fourth resistor(R4) and a second condenser(C2). Values of the resistors(R1,R2,R3,R4) and condensers(C1,C2) are set as values for compensating a damping characteristic function of an extension communication line at a high frequency band between 1Mbps-10Mbps and the amplifiers(A1,A2) are operated as inverting amplifiers.
