An air conditioner of ceiling flush type or ceiling suspended type capable of keeping a relative distance between a centrifugal blower and a bell mouth at a specified value, comprising an indoor unit 1 having a generally square casing 11, the centrifugal blower 17, a heat exchanger 27 with a plurality of recessed parts 27a, 27c and a plurality of projected parts 27b, 27d, a drain pan 25, the bell mouth 18, and an electrical equipment box 16, wherein the electrical equipment box 16 is used for storing the electrical equipment used for operational control, formed in a shape extending from the inside top surface of the casing 11 to the bell mouth 18, and disposed between the outer peripheral part of the centrifugal blower 17 and one of the projected parts 27b of the heat exchanger 27 to support the bell mouth 18.
