<p>Use of a haloalkynyl derivative as a stabilizer for an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic or dermatological composition with average oil globule size 50-1000 nm and the composition itself for topical application comprising an oily phase dispersed in water the haloalkynyl derivative and having a viscosity at 25 degrees C of 1-20 mPa.s. <??>Independent claims are included for: <??>(1) a method of treating the skin including the scalp, the hair, eyebrows, nails and/or the lips by applying the composition; <??>(2) a method of preparing the composition by producing a classic emulsion at a temperature within or above the phase inversion domain or heating to it, refrigerating and adding the haloalkynyl derivative and additional components which are unstable at the phase inversion temperature; <??>(3) an article comprising a water insoluble substrate and the composition added to it or impregnated into it; and <??>(4) a cosmetic procedure of care, cleansing and/or makeup removal from the skin by wiping with the article.</p> |
