PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hemming device which is small-sized, has a simple structure, is manufactured at a low cost, and requires no limitation on a workpiece shape and structure to be applied for hemming processing. SOLUTION: In a hemming device, a preliminary bending mold with a preliminary bending edge and a final bending mold with a final bending edge are equipped, an outer panel flange where an inner panel is positioned and mounted is preliminarily bent by the preliminary bending edge by operating the preliminary bending mold, and a final bending is conducted by the final bending edge by operating the final bending mold. When the preliminary bending is performed by the preliminary bending edge using one system of operating mechanism, the preliminary bending mold is operated in a circular arc based on a starting point for the preliminary bending. When the final bending is performed by the final bending edge, the final bending mold is operated arcuately based on the starting point for the final bending which is a different point from the starting point for the preliminary bending while evacuating the preliminary bending mold.
