PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage disposer in which the operation of the equipment is stopped safely for preventing the equipment from being damaged even when the ventilation route reaches a high temperature since the exhaust port is clogged with a plastic bag or the like and the occurrence of abnormality is reported to a user when the inside of the equipment becomes abnormal, for example, reaches a high temperature. SOLUTION: An exhaust gas sensor 23 is arranged for detecting the temperature of the exhaust gas route from a catalyst heating means 20b to an exhausting means 22. When the temperature detected by the sensor 23 exceeds the prescribed one (T1), a control circuit 29 controls so that a heating means 12 and the means 20b are turned to OFF. After that, when the temperature detected by the sensor 23 becomes equal to or lower than the prescribed one (T2), the circuit 29 controls so that the means 22 is turned to OFF.
