PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering-type endoscope with improvement in operability by easily preparing a covering for the endoscope having a varied flexibility of its insert part. SOLUTION: An insert part 18 of the covering-type endoscope is provided with an insert cover 30 which comprises an outside cover 30A and an inside cover 30B. The flexibility of the insert part 18 can be varied by fixing the inside cover 30B in an optional position of the insert part 18 and by providing the outside cover 30A over the inside cover 30B.
