<p>The invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition, a therapeutic combination product and a kit comprising a sterically hindered platinum coordination compound and a non-platinum based anti-cancer agent and a pharmaceutically-acceptable carrier or diluent; to the use thereof for the manufacture of a medicament for inhibiting the growth of tumour cells in a human afflicted therewith; to a method of inhibiting the growth of tumour cells in a human afflicted therewith which comprises administering to such human an effective tumour cell growth inhibiting amount of such a therapeutic combination product or of a pharmaceutical composition of the invention; in particular when the sterically hindered platinum coordination compound is (SP-4-3)-(cis)-am-minedichloro-Ä2-methylpyridineÜplatinum (II), or a pro-drug thereof, and the non-platinum based anti-cancer agent is selected from Taxol Gemcitabine, Navelbine, Doxil, 5-FU and Taxotere.</p> |
