PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lubricating oil supplying method by which the lubricating oil is effectively stuck to the contact part of a roll with a metallic material to be rolled, excellent lubrication effect is obtained, the possibilities of excessive splash and firing is eliminated and which is applicable regardlessly of the shape of a material. SOLUTION: In a hot rolling stage of the metallic material which is executed using the lubricating oil, the lubricating oil is supplied to rolling rolls at high pressure of the discharge pressure of >=30 kg/cm<2> by a water injection system. Especially, the lubricating oil is supplied as suspension or emulsion with water. The lubricating oil consists essentially of either ester system lubricating oil or mineral oil, or the mixture of both. |
