PURPOSE: A touch screen type elevator system is provided to conveniently control items changed upon acting an elevator without an additional hardware by integrally designing manipulation and operation display functions of the elevator in the elevator system. CONSTITUTION: A screen editing unit(40) designs floor selecting, opening, and shutting buttons and movement floor, direction and message display screens and registers a corresponding action function. The screen editing unit transfers the registered functions to a storage unit of a touch screen type monitoring device(26). A display panel(42) displays the floor selecting, opening, and closing buttons(32,33,34) and movement floor, direction and message display screens(35,36,38). Further, in inputting a floor to move through the floor selecting button in the display panel, an action state given based on the inputted floor is transferred to an elevator host.
