The invention relates to a process for preparing polyholoside extracts and polyholoside purified extracts from Herba angelicae, which may be employed as such or as starting material of medicinal substances for the preparation of pharmaceutical products, having benefic, synergistic and adaptogenic activity in hepato-biliary, metabolic, gerontologic affections or in diseases of the vegetative nervous system, a new concept of unitary processing being created thereby, using 6 specific processing stages such as: deballasting, extraction, concentration, drying, purification and conditioning while obtaining total aqueous extracts, selectively polyholoside raw extracts or purified polyholoside extracts.
