PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member fixing mechanism which can easily adjust and fix the position of a fixed leg part of an L-shaped sliding plate, and allow one member (for example, a height-complementary toilet seat) to be adaptable to various kinds of sizes of other members (for example, a toilet unit). SOLUTION: In the configuration that one member 1 (for example, a height- complementary toilet seat) is fixed on the other member 2 (for example, the toilet unit), a fixed plate 8 having band-like teeth 7 on an upper side is fitted to a predetermined part of a lower side of one member 1, and a body part 10 of the L-shaped sliding plate 12 comprising the body part 10 having band-like teeth 9 on a lower side and a fixed leg part 11 bent downwardly from an outer end of the body part 10 is slidably inserted on the upper side of the fixed plate 8. In addition, a pin having a projecting bar 14 on a shaft 13 is disposed on an upper side of the L-shaped sliding plate 12, and a member fixing mechanism is provided, in which the projecting bar 14 of the pin 16 presses the body part 10 of the L-shaped sliding plate 12 against the fixed plate 8 side when the pin 16 is turned.
