PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for removing dioxins, which can decompose various kinds of toxic gas such as dioxin-based gas, whose catalyst-filled layer cassette has excellent durability and can be used for a long period, and which can be compacted with a compact catalyst-filled layer cassette. SOLUTION: This method for removing the dioxins by a catalyst ion-plasma reaction comprises cooling an exhaust gas exhausted from an incinerator 1, spraying water on the cooled exhaust gas to neutralize and remove Hcl-based, Nox-based and Sox-based toxic gas components together with smut, spraying cooling water to remove smut and mist, allowing the smut and mist-removed exhaust gas to pass through a metal-based granular catalyst 23-filled layer 19, and decomposing off the dioxins by the ion effect and by the radical corona state of the catalyst reaction. |
