摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method in which any abnormality of a bearing can be immediately diagnosed for every wheel of a traveling body, and determine the details and the degree of the abnormality with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In a bearing diagnosing device comprising an acoustic sensor 1 to detect the noise in an axle bearing part of a traveling body T having wheels T1, and an analyzer 3 which performs the waveform analysis of the signal from the acoustic sensor, takes out the waveform related to the rotation of the bearing, and determines any abnormality of the bearing, the diagnosing device has a pass detector 2 to detect the pass and the timing of the wheels in the traveling mode in a non-contact manner, the acoustic sensor 1 comprises a microphone to converge the sound emitted in the atmosphere from the axle bearing part. The acoustic sensor and the pass detector 2 are disposed at a stationary and separate position from the passing wheels, and connected to the analyzer 3, respectively, and the analyzer is connected to a recorder 5.
