PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen-oxygen fuel generator convenient for carriage and transfer, and an insertion type electrolytic cell of a hydrogen-oxygen fuel generator which facilitates the machining and the assembly, and the maintenance, improves the sealing effect, unifies the electrolyte level, and prevents any deposition of impurities. SOLUTION: The hydrogen-oxygen generator 100 comprises a case filled with the electrolyte, a slot array unit of an insulating material having a plurality of slots which is provided in the unit, a plurality of electrode plates having an electrode voltage division structure in the case which are respectively inserted in the slots, a heat radiation outlet 108 to feed out the electrolyte in the case, an insertion type electrolytic cell 105 having a plurality of heat radiation inlets 107 to feed the electrolyte to the case, a water supplement system to supplement the electrolyte to the insertion type electrolytic cell 105, a cooling system (including a heat radiation fin 145 and a cooling fan 125) which cools the electrolyte fed from the heat radiation outlet 108, and feeds it to the heat radiation inlet 107 to form a circulation passage, and a DC high-speed switching power supply which is connected to the insertion type electrolytic cell 105 and supplies the voltage.
