The invention relates to a low thickness raised floor having a metal support structure and to a method for manufacturing the spacing member of the support structure. The raised floor comprises some supporting panels (22) and some non-combustible spacing members (18) located on a base-plate which is located on the existing floor, the spacing members comprising a central section (70) wherein some grooves (86) are moulded, some arms (78), terminated in tabs (82), extend from the central section (70), said tabs (82) being introduced in some openings (54) located on a base-plate (19), over the spacing members (18) some support panels being placed by means of some ribs (10), located on the panel corners, said ribs protruding in the grooves (86).
