PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving device having excellent durability, a simple structure, and a small-sized body, and stably obtaining driving force. SOLUTION: This driving device 1A comprises a base portion 2, a vibrating element 4, a supporting portion 3 rotatably provided to the base portion 2 and supporting the vibrating element 4, a rotor 5 rotatably installed on the base portion 2, and an energizing member 6. An arm portion 11 is projected out from the vibrating element 4, and the supporting portion 3 supports the vibrating element 4 by the arm portion 11. The vibrating element 4 is made by laminating an electrode, a piezoelectric element, and a reinforcing plate, and installed so as to abut on an outer peripheral surface 51 of the rotor 5 at a projecting portion 46 thereof. The energizing member 6 energizes the supporting portion 3 in a direction pressing the projecting portion 46 to contact with the outer peripheral surface 51. When an alternating voltage is applied to the piezoelectric element, the vibrating element 4 vibrates in a longitudinal direction by expansion/contraction of the piezoelectric element, thereby driving the rotor 5 to rotate.
