Device for linearization of the non-linear output of a sensor (10) comprises analogue signal to frequency converter (12) with quantization background for conversion of the sensor voltage or current signal into a digital impulse sequence output signal, where the impulse density is a measure of the input signal. A unit (16) counts the number of impulses per time unit, a further unit converts the output of the counting signal into analogue signal for linearization, while an averaging unit determines a correction signal and an adder combines correction signal and the linearized signal.
