PURPOSE: An apparatus for recording/reproducing video signals in a time lapse VCR, and a method therefor are provided to reproduce more accurate pictures by removing a noise generated in a normal speed reproduction by a track angle different from an angle of tape traveling. CONSTITUTION: A video signal input unit(100) inputs video signals having a time gap. A video signal storing unit(200) stores the inputted video signals. A video signal output unit(300) outputs the stored video signals. A video signal recording unit(400) records the video signals output from the video signal output unit on a magnetic recording medium. A control unit(500) controls the video signal output unit to output the video signals in order if a certain amount of video signals are stored in the video signal storing unit. The control unit controls the video signal recording unit to record the output video signals on the magnetic recording medium.
