The present invention is directed to a hand piece (100) for removing surface portions of the skin by superficial abrasion caused by striking the skin with a mixture of air and a granular abrasive substance. Specifically, the invention pertains to a hand piece (100) having a multi-port vacuum restrictor (150,160) to create a vacuum vortex providing enhanced distribution of abrasive crystals. The present invention also includes an apparatus for use in a dermal abrasion system employing the novel hand piece. |
