<p>A device for cutting and retrieving tissue, includes a handle (12), a first set of at least one wire (20), and a second set of at least one wire (28). The handle (12) includes an elongated shaft, a tube (14), a first sleeve member and a second sleeve member disposed over the shaft. The two sets of wires, attached respectively to the first sleeve and second sleeve members, extend through the channel and form loops at the distal ends of the wire sets. A control tip (24) is secured to the distal end of the first set of wires (20), and a retaining pin is secured to the control tip (24) and extends between at least two wires of the loop of the second set of wires (28) to allow the second set of wires (28) to be extended from the tube (14). The retaining pin also extends the second set of wires (28) from the tube upon the first set of wires (20) being extended from the tube .</p> |
