The water-sealed safe (1) has sealing material over all openings extending to the exterior. The safe can be cylindrical and the lid (2) can have an O-ring (6) to seal against water entry when closed. The locking shaft can also be sealed with an O-ring. The locking shaft can be held against unauthorized opening by an electro- magnet.
