Test kit (A) for simultaneous determination of total protein (I) and detection of increased content of uric acid (II) in biological liquids, contains reagents that precipitate (I) and allow visual evaluation of results. It is a solid composition that contains usual precipitants for (I); copper sulfate as additional precipitant; and at least one each of polysaccharide; monosaccharide and di- or tri-carboxylic acid. An Independent claim is also included for a method for determining (I) and a level of (II) at least twice normal in biological liquids.
